Wow this week just flew by for me! I mentioned in my Why I Love Mondays post the other day, that I set mini goals each week that I’d like to accomplish. They are usually fitness or nutrition based but really could be anything that is realistic and achievable for that week. This past week, I set 2 mini goals: make it to yoga and make it back to my master swim class. Spoiler alert-crushed them both. Here’s a snapshot of how my week went. Joining in with the Weekly Wrap dynamic duo HoHo and Wendy. I will also be linking up to the Cherry Blossom training crew.
Weekly Wrap Crushing Mini Goals
Sunday- Hot Yoga
Fun class and meet up with Coco. Our instructor offered the intention of tuning out momentum, both forward and negative, and using your strength to achieve your goals at hand. That really resonated with me.
Monday-30 min elliptical and 60 min strength training
Tuesday-4 mile run + 60 min Ashtanga Yoga
I tried out a new (to me) type of yoga, Ashtanga, and wow was it killer (in a good way). I love the run followed by a yoga class. I am hoping to make this my new Tuesday routine for a while.
Wednesday- 15 min elliptical + 90 min kickboxing and strength training
Always my hardest and most favorite workout of the week. My trainer has switched up my strength training a bit and I am loving it. Sweat fest!
Thursday- 5 mile run + stretch/renew yoga
Hit up my 3rd yoga class for the week! I am loving this combination. Today’s class was more of a stretch and meditation. Don’t tell anyone but I may have fallen asleep for hot second. 🙂
Friday- Master Swim class 60 min ~ 1 mile of swimmng
I woke up in a bad mood and did not want to go swim at all. This was one of the mini goals I had for myself this week and I was not going to let myself down. Swim class was challenging as always. Feeling so glad that I went.
Friday night was our MRTT happy hour to celebrate our 5th birthday. Could not be more lucky to have so many amazing women in my life.
Saturday- 6.5 mile run
Following right along with week 2 of Cherry Blossom training. My group of 8 headed out for our 6.5 mile run. 40 degree temps were amazing!
Spent the afternoon cooking for Soup Club swap Sunday. Head back tomorrow for my Spiced Creamy Cauliflower and Kale Soup recipe. It’s a keeper!
I am pretty proud of my effort this week. I had a solid training week of running, yoga, strength training and yes swimming. All mini goals were smashed!
Setting any mini goals yourself this week?
