I always get excited in January thinking about all the races I could run in the coming year. I wish I could Run All The Races but I so have to resist the urge to sign up for too many. I am a little nervous about signing up for too much because I missed a bunch of races last spring due to injury. And wouldn’t you know it, I started out 2015 with a bad case of Plantar Fasciitus which landed me in a boot for a few weeks. I am happy to say that I am out of the boot and plan to start running again today. Fingers crossed! I’m linking up with Erika and April this week for
I am trying to sign up for races that are new to me. Here’s what’s on my Race Schedule so far:
1. Rock n Roll half Marathon DC-March 14th-
Rock n Roll races are so much fun to do. They have the best medals ever! I am especially excited for this race because I missed it last year after I worked for RnR as the Race Ambassador. I’m really hoping this most recent injury won’t prevent me from running it.
2. George Washington Parkway Classic-April 26th
I’m just pumped for whatever comes my way, but I am so excited about Phoenix (to meet so many people that I already adore) and Ragnar (for the experience). I have no idea what else I am getting into this year! Hopefully a triathlon!

I am back at tri races this year too! I used to love them but got burned out. I think it will force me to cross train more and hopefully not get injured as much from running.
Sounds like a great start to the year. I’m running many of the same ones as you. GW Parkway is a great race. I’m looking forward to running it after working it for the last few years.

What a great group of races! It always amazing me at the amazing races available in DC and that you get medals for so many of them!!
Can’t wait to read about them.
Love your race schedule, and I’m so glad you’re out of the boot!! I bet the Ragnar course in Cape Cod is gorgeous!!

Thanks! It still hurts but trying to ease back in slowly
Ooh didn’t know you were doing a full this year! Impressive 🙂
Hey, great news on the boot being off and being able to run! I’m planning on the first 2 on your list (already registered for RnR) and for the Lawyer’s Have Heart 10k. I did that one last year as my first 10k and really enjoyed it. It was really well organized and while I’ve heard other years have been way too hot, the weather was nice last year.

Ok we definitely need to meet up!
Sounds like an exciting schedule. I am not really a “racer” so I have not developed a race schedule but I deferred the Broad Street run here in Philly last year due to injury and our never ending winter that slowed my training but I think I am gong to go for it this year. I have never run 10 miles before so my biggest challenge is mentally committing. Hope you have a great season!

Ooh I’ve always wanted to do that one too!
I want to be you someday. What a amazing inspiration. Can’t wait to hear and see photos for all these races!

I’m so glad you are out of the boot. Hope everything goes well with your run. I haven’t made any real plans yet, but have quite a few items penciled in on my calendar. I’m winging it, I guess. Here’s to an injury free 2015!

So happy to hear that you are out of the boot! These races sound like a lot of fun. I haven’t decided what I’m doing this year.

If I can’t get back to running enough miles I may need to do the 5k too. Will let you know
What a fabulous race schedule!!!!!!
I bet you really enjoy the Cape Cod race, I hear its beautiful there:) They have a marathon I want to run there, that I don’t think I will get to this year, but for sure next year!
I think the race I am most looking forward to this year, will be my first marathon back after my long work injury layoff. It will also be my 40th marathon, so it’s kind of got quite a bit of great things going for it, besides being the first after 2 years of being unable to run them. I haven’t decided 100% just yet, but it will be either in March or April:)

Great race line up! I have Boston in April… and then plan on running 3 RNR races (unsure of the locations right now). 🙂

Great list of races!! I’m of course looking forward to Paris!! As for the GW Parkway, it is hilly, not flat by any means, but they are rolling hills 🙂

Ha rolling hills! I can’t wait to hear about Paris
Ohhh I ran Lawyers Have Heart back in 2007, waaaaaay before I had a blog, so I don’t have a race report to share, haha. It was a beautiful course and a great race!

I’ve always wanted to do that one and since I’m injured now it’s something to look forward to. Want to come do it again??
I am probably most excited about the Kauai Marathon because it is always inspiring to see Dean Karnazes and Bart Yasso. This time I plan to arrive early enough to do the shake out run with them.

Looking like a great schedule. I only have 3 races on my schedule so far but one of which is RnR DC. Very excited for it.
