I used to be the girl who stayed in her comfort zone. Reliable? Always. Predictable and boring? Hmm, Perhaps. However, the last few years, I have become much more comfortable and confident with my athletic abilities and ready to be a little more bold and daring.
When I first heard of overnight relay races, I thought, “Who does that?” “No way would I ever be running in the middle of night in the middle of nowhere”. Fast forward a few years and I’ve now done 3 of them! Oh yeah, I found myself running at 3 am in the middle of nowhere with a crazy team outfit on. Best time ever! Can’t wait to do that again.
Just recently, I had the opportunity to try Aerial Yoga. I hate heights and I was terrified I was going to fall right on my head. You know what, I didn’t fall. As soon as I stopped worrying about all that I couldn’t do, I was surprised but what I could do.
Aging is inevitable and I know that one day I may not be able to do all of things I can do now. Today is not that day and I plan to keep trying new things and go bold or go home. I might not be ready to jump out of airplanes quite yet but I did get a sense of what it might feel like recently and I loved it.
I am so not a morning person. I treasure my morning coffee(s) time and use those moments to set a plan for the day. My husband knows not to even talk to me until I’ve had my first mug. I admit I love the little boost I get from my Dunkin’ Dark roast. I enjoy the rich, smooth flavor I find in Dunkin’ Dark and appreciate that is contains 30% Rainforest alliance certified coffee. The Rainforest alliance works with farmers & manufacturers to protect the natural resources and wild life around the world.
My favorite Dunkin’ Dark roast now comes in K cups that I find right at my grocer (or on line) which makes my morning routine “run” even better.
Dunkin’ Dark #Brewedforthebold is partnering with coffee lovers who aren’t afraid to push the envelope like Becky Hammon, the first female assistant coach in men’s professional basketball. Now that’s bold! Read her story here.
I am not sure yet what my next bold adventure will be. I’ve got a lot of items on my bucket list.
Tell me-What’s your next bold adventure?
