I don’t know about you, but I completely dread having to find a dress when I need one. In fact, sometimes finding a dress that fits me is almost as frustrating as buying a bathing suit. Why? Well to be blunt-I have some serious “D” girls that are way larger than my bottom half. I usually wear 2 or 3 sizes bigger on my top than I do on my bottom. With exercise wear and 2 piece outfits, this is not a problem. When trying to buy a dress however, it is so frustrating. I have to buy a bigger size just to fit the “girls” then usually have to get it altered to fit my hips and waist. UGH!
I was contacted by EShakti and asked if I would like to receive a custom made dress in exchange for a review. What? There is such a thing as casual, custom made dresses! I was certainly intrigued and interested. EShakti gave me a choice of a few styles to choose from their early spring collection.
How does it work?
If you know your size and you are comfortable ordering as is, EShakti carries sizes 0-36. If you would like to customize your size, you can do that too. After picking my dress, I was asked to take a series of measurements and submit them. This was easily done in under 5 minutes. The site offers tips on how to measure each area correctly. You have the option of customizing the length, neckline and even the sleeve on some styles. The first time you customize it is free subsequent orders are $7.50. Much less than I would pay to go to a tailor.
Orders are placed and guaranteed to arrive to you in 14 business days shipped from India. My order arrived within 10 business days. So how did it turn out? It’s not too spring like around here yet-I did the best I could with the photo
I am pretty happy with it! The quality is great with 100% soft cotton and embroidered design. The dress fits my top half perfectly while tapering in on the hips. The pockets are a cute touch as well. Perfect for a brunch or casual summer dinner.
EShakti has the latest trends such as denim, florals and polka dots in dresses, shirts, pants and skirts. I would describe them as having a retro flair. I love the the customization option and the prices can’t be beat. The dresses are under $100 and the shirts under $50. Bonus you run less of a risk of showing up at a party that someone is wearing the outfit. I hate when that happens!!
Would I order from them again? Absolutely! Want to check it out for yourself? Use code motherrunner for 10% off your order.
Here are a few others I think are adorable.
(Disclaimer-I was provided a dress in exchange for my review, however all opinions are my own.)
Ever had custom designed clothes? Do you have a hard time buying dresses too?
